baltimore - Data from some 150 million users of the food and fitness app MyFitnessPal have been stolen by hackers. Under Armor, the company behind the app, released Thursday that late February data from the accounts was captured by an unknown party.

This week the company came behind the leak and informed users. Among the stolen data are user names, e-mail addresses and passwords. More sensitive information such as credit card details and citizen service numbers would not have been stolen according to Under Armor. The company advises users to change their password as soon as possible.

The MyFitnessPal app allows users to keep track of their calories, diet and exercise activity. The company has taken security services to help with the investigation and also cooperates with the police.
