Damning report on Chicago police

chicago - The US Justice Department on Friday released a damning report on the police in the city of Chicago. Which violated routinely over a period of several years the civil rights of people with unconstitutional arrests and use of excessive force. Slips were barely investigated.

Attorney Loretta Lynch calls it a toxic combination that has decimated the public confidence in the police. But also the morale of the police officers 'who daily put their lives on the line to serve citizens and protect' is seriously compromised, says Lynch.
