las vegas - The FBI has stated that there is no clear connection between the New Orleans attack and the vehicle explosion in Las Vegas.

The Cybertruck driver has been identified as Matthew Livelsberger, who was already known to have rented the vehicle. According to sources familiar with the case, Livelsberger, a sergeant in the U.S. special forces, rented the Cybertruck via the Turo car rental app, which was also used by Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the suspect in the New Orleans attack that claimed fifteen lives.

Both vehicles were rented through the same app, potentially linking them together. However, Christopher Raia of the FBI now asserts that there is "no clear link" between the two incidents.
