'Crashed UFO in snow on Google Earth'

amsterdam - A popular YouTube channel, full of conspiracy theories, is trying to convince viewers that an avalanche on an island near Antarctica is the place where a UFO would have crashed. The proof: images from Google Earth.

The voiceover reports that the visible track in the snow indicates the brake track of a crashed UFO. It would have crashed against a mountain and then came to a standstill meters away, according to the video.

Although the image of Google Earth shows that there seems to have been a mess with the ice, the explanation of scientists (who are laughing hard for the video) is more plausible: the track simply indicates an avalanche. But what is that strange thing then that can be seen at the end of the track?

The British geographer Richard Waller tells The Daily Mail that by the avalanche a block of ice has come loose and that that one fragment has ended up a lot further than the other debris. 'Even a layman can see that this has been an avalanche,' says Waller.

For everyone who had hoped for a sign of extraterrestrial life: unfortunately. The alu hats can remain in the closet for the time being.
