beaver lake - An American couple is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a minor after allegedly trying to sell a two-month-old baby in exchange for beer.

An American couple, Darien Tyler Urban and Shalene Faith Ehlers, have been accused of endangering the welfare of a minor after attempting to sell their two-month-old baby. The incident came to light when the owner of a camping site near Beaver Lake in Arkansas reported to the police that he overheard the couple trying to sell the baby to another man.

Upon arrival at the camping site, the police questioned residents, one of whom appeared intoxicated and admitted to agreeing to a transaction involving the baby. The man claimed he was concerned about the child's welfare and agreed to take the baby in exchange for six beers.

Subsequently, the parents allegedly offered to sell the baby for $1000 to another camper, citing difficulties in caring for the baby due to their pets. A written agreement was drawn up, transferring the baby's rights to the buyer and prohibiting any future contact with the sellers. The buyer, unable to pay at the time, planned to settle the amount the next day but instead contacted the camping site owner, who alerted the authorities.
