washington - The US Congress has presented a new budget plan to prevent a new shutdown of US government services. The new proposal meets both the demands of the Democrats and the Republicans.
In the plan, $ 1.3 trillion is spent, of which 1.6 billion for, among other things, security measures at the border. That is just a fraction of the $ 25 billion that President Donald Trump wants to build a boundary wall. Furthermore, money is spent on infrastructure and defense.
The House of Representatives and the Senate must agree to the closure of non-essential public services before Friday, end of the day, with the new budget plan. If that happens, the American government will be guaranteed money until September.
