Condemned Antwerp Syria sufferers

antwerp - Three women from Antwerp were convicted in absentia on Monday for participating in the activities of a terrorist organization. The Antwerp court imposed their five years in prison and every 6,000 euros fine.

Two of the three women are known to stay with their children in a camp in the north of Syria and want to return to Belgium. If they succeed, they must be arrested immediately by the judge.

' I hope the authorities will do everything to get them back, '' said their lawyer. 'They are prepared to take responsibility. '
