Comeback of controversial FPÖ politician

vienna - The controversial Austrian politician Udo Landbauer (32) announced his comeback. The prominent member of the right-wing populist FPÖ resigned after it became known that he sang after-songs in his student days. The association of which he was vice-president, Germania, was proud of her collection of anti-Semitic song lyrics. The infamous book surfaced just before the state elections in February.

Landbauer said on Tuesday that he would still be party leader of the FPÖ in the parliament of Lower Austria. He took that decision after having heard that the Public Prosecutor's Office is stopping the judicial investigation and refraining from prosecution. Among others party leader Heinz-Christian Strache immediately made a strong start for a return of the prodigal son.
