Clinton claims victory for Democrats

- Hillary Clinton has proclaimed itself winner of the Democratic primary for the US presidency. She did so after it became clear that she had won the primaries in the state of New Jersey.

,, Together we have secured the nomination, '' she wrote in an email to its supporters.,, For the first time a woman will be the candidate of a major party to be the President of the United States, '' said Clinton calls it a milestone in US history. She also thanked her rival, Bernie Sanders, the campaign he conducted.

Clinton has counted more than 90 percent of the vote, almost 60 percent of voters behind them in New Jersey, CNN reports. In New Mexico she is declared the winner. In the state of North Dakota Sanders won the primaries.
