Civil servant changes sex to retire 5 years earlier

- A 60-year-old official at the Argentine tax authorities has started a procedure to change gender. He does this for a very practical reason: he can retire five years earlier.

Last year, when he was 59 years old, Sergio Lazarvich started with the paperwork to change gender. If approved, Sergio can immediately retire. The statutory retirement age is in Argentina for women at 60 and for men at 65 years.
