China launches X-ray scanning

jiuquan - China has launched its first X-ray scanner from the launch base in Jiuquan in the Gobi desert on Thursday. The 2500 kilos of heavy Insight will gather 550 kilometers of earth over black holes, pulsars and gamma rays bursts. The researchers hope to find out more about the evolution of black holes and strong magnetic fields according to National Press Office Xinhua.

China has expanded its space program in recent years. A mission to Mars is scheduled for 2020, and the first Chinese will land on the moon over fifteen to twenty years.
