Barcelona Confirms Double Injury Blow to Gavi and Fermín López

Barcelona has been hit with a double injury blow as Gavi needs knee surgery for a meniscus issue, while Fermín López is sidelined with a muscle injury. Gavi, recovering from a previous ACL injury, faces an extended absence until at least November. Fermín is expected to miss several upcoming games.

Gavi's Injury and Surgery

Gavi is set to undergo an arthroscopic examination after intense stress tests revealed the necessity for a minor operation to aid in his recovery and competitive return. The midfielder has been out of action since August.

Fermín López's Injury

Fermín López is facing around three weeks on the sidelines due to an iliopsoas muscle injury in his left leg. The player will miss key matches, including the upcoming Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain.

Barcelona's statement also mentioned that Alejandro Balde and Lamine Yamal are nearing returns from their respective hamstring and injury concerns.
