charlottesville - Exactly one year after the deadly riots in Charlottesville, the proportions are again sharp. In Washington, a large part of the city center has been shut down due to demonstrations that will take place at earshot of the White House. In Charlottesville, the governor of Virginia has even declared a state of emergency.
