neurenberg (anp) - German caravan and camper manufacturer Knaus Tabbert is halting production in two major factories to adjust inventory levels at dealerships.

The production pause at the two factories, where the majority of the 4000 employees work, will begin on Monday and last until the end of the year. As a result, the company behind popular camping brands like Knaus, Tabbert, and T@B is revising its revenue expectations for this year.

Just a week ago, Knaus Tabbert expected revenues of around 1.3 billion euros, but now investors should anticipate a significantly lower amount.

Dealers of Knaus Tabbert campers and caravans have been facing high costs due to their large inventories, as reported by the company in its quarterly results.

New leisure vehicle deliveries have already been lower than before. At the same time, the demand for these camping vehicles remains high in Germany, according to Knaus Tabbert.
