Camera floats to Germany

thornwick bay - The 10-year-old William was quite disappointed that he lost his waterproof video camera off the English coast, but is now very happy that the actioncam is washed up on a German island 800 kilometers away.

The two residents of Süderoog looked up when they saw that there was still a completely intact memory card in the camera on the beach. Nele Wree and Holger Spreer saw on the picture an English boy playing with a bucket in the sea. The still running camera is taken away by the waves shortly afterwards.

Nel and Holger put the images on Facebook. That video was viewed hundreds of thousands of times. Eventually the story reached the British newspaper The Guardian, which was eventually read by the boy's father.
