California employs nearly 6,000 firefighters

santa barbara - California pulls out all the stops to fight the relentless fires in the state. In the meantime, more than 5,800 firefighters from several states are active. They suffer a lot from the strong wind.

The fighters of the fire have not been able to prevent that around 800 houses and buildings have been laid in ashes by now. 93,000 hectares of nature have already been lost. The California authorities estimate that around 90,000 homes are now without power.

The fires are mainly found in the Venture and Santa Barbara regions, about 160 kilometers northwest of Los Angeles. The fire department fears that the fire will reach the places Carpenteria, Summerland and Montecito. The fires at the Los Angeles and San Diego metropolis are under control.
