united kingdom - British Minister Jess Phillips responds to Elon Musk's comments regarding child abuse investigation, urging him to focus on his projects.

British Minister Jess Phillips has responded to ABD's billionaire Elon Musk's allegations of being an advocate of rape genocide, calling them nonsense and saying that Musk should focus on his own projects instead of getting involved in UK politics.

Minister Phillips, who is responsible for Protection Matters at the UK Home Office, criticized Musk for his handling of the investigation into child abuse cases in the country, stating that attempts to use child abuse as a political tool harm the victims. She emphasized the need to take action rather than turning child abuse into a political football, saying, "Instead of turning child abuse into a political football, we should make an effort to really do something."

Phillips criticized Musk for interfering in UK politics, saying, "Elon Musk should mind his own business and continue his efforts to go to Mars." She also stated that the allegations of being a "rape genocide advocate" against her by Musk were nonsense and that she would be guided by the victims, not Musk.

Minister Phillips announced that the Labour Party government in power plans to hold summits with local leaders in areas where investigations into child abuse are necessary, with the aim of implementing effective measures, particularly in areas such as Telford, throughout the country.

The British Minister also announced that the government will implement new measures, including making it mandatory for professionals working with children to report abuse complaints. It is expected that this measure will be implemented in the spring under the Crime and Policing Act.

Phillips, in an interview with the BBC, stated that disinformation spread by Elon Musk "puts him at risk," but compared to what abuse victims have been through, this is nothing.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer had strongly criticized Musk's comments about Minister Phillips in a statement yesterday, saying, "Lies and misinformation are spreading, indicating that a boundary has been crossed." He accused Musk and supporting politicians of politicizing child abuse.

Musk's remarks came after Phillips refused to launch a national investigation into child abuse cases in the town of Oldham in the UK in October 2024, stating that a local investigation would be more appropriate.

Following her decision, Musk accused Jess Phillips of being an advocate of rape genocide and called for her to be imprisoned in his X shares. Oldham has been one of the centers of a child abuse scandal that emerged in 2013 and caused a national outcry.
