British gangster arrested in Spain

hilde postmabenidorm - A great British criminal who was on a list of most wanted fugitives- and against whom it had a European arrest warrant- was arrested in Benidorm after being a fugitive for over a year. He was recognized with posters of fugitive criminals who hung the Spanish police in tourist hotspots. On the posters, he was described as 'very dangerous' and 'possibly armed'

It involves Gareth Bryan Edwards (25) from the Manchester area. He was arrested when he went out this weekend in the resort on the Costa Blanca, where many Dutch winter and holiday. Local police recognized his face on the posters and loved him.

Edwards was at that time in a busy street going towards a British pub. The officers stopped him and asked him for his ID, but he showed them a passport with a photo in which he did not appear on it. When the police asked him to go to the police station for further investigation, he pushed them away- and hit on the run. He hid in an empty swimming pool of an apartment building- but could not avoid being arrested.

On the desk was on the basis of his fingerprints determined that it was Edwards. He had three packets of cocaine with him, and a list of addresses. It was the British police of Manchester which turned on the assistance of the Spanish police after Edwards had violated the terms of his parole in April and fled to Spain. He was convicted of theft and intimidation.

Beside him posters were also distributed nine other criminals, including a member of the Italian mafia and a Tunisian who is wanted for murder.

Pending a British extradition request has taken the Spanish court Edwards in custody.
