beijing - A boycott of stuff from South Korea is taken very seriously by many Chinese. Several South Korean supermarkets are besieged by angry Chinese who tackle stuff like mad bulls.

Reason for the boycott is the missile defense system THAAD. Although THAAD- a project of the US and South Korea- is intended to provide protection against missiles from North Korea, China sees the missile shield just as a threat to national security. So Beijing called through various media for a boycott, which is massively responded.

On YouTube are countless videos of smiling Chinese who withdraw South Korean supermarkets products from the shelves and then hard pounding. Also known vloggers in the country calling for protests.

One of the affected cases Lotte Mart supermarket group. Eighty of the more than one hundred branches in China were temporarily closed because of all the destruction.\n  \n   \n    \n    \n   \n   \n   \n      \n    \n    \n   \n     Photo: YouTube
