oakland - After 73 years, Luis Armando Albino, who was kidnapped in 1951 at the age of six, has been found alive and well by his niece.

Back in 1951, Luis Armando Albino was kidnapped while playing in a park in West Oakland with his ten-year-old brother. A woman lured him away from the park with promises of candy, taking him all the way to New York. She and her partner raised Luis as their own son without him knowing he was abducted at a young age. Living a normal life, he became a firefighter, a father, and later a grandfather.

Luis' birth mother never stopped searching for him until she passed away in 2005 at the age of 92. This year, his 63-year-old niece Alida Alequin took over the search. Through DNA tests and newspaper articles, she managed to find the truth with the help of local police, the FBI, and the Department of Justice. The police praised the niece for playing a crucial role in finding her uncle.

A long-awaited reunion took place between Luis and his brother Roger. Sadly, Roger passed away from cancer just a month after the reunion knowing his brother was found. Alida expressed happiness in bringing peace to her brother before his passing. The mother of Luis would have been thrilled, never giving up hope of seeing him again.

The woman who kidnapped Luis 73 years ago and her partner have since passed away. The FBI notes that while the case of Luis' disappearance is closed, the investigation into the kidnapping remains ongoing.
