Boat hooks into lock wall: ten wounded

trier - Ten passengers on a tourist boat were injured because the vessel with which they sailed hooked into a lock wall on the Mosel in Germany. The incident happened while the boat was being moved to a lower part of the Moselle near the city of Trier.

The water police said on Monday that the boat on the right tilted forward and that ten of the thirty people on board were injured. The personnel at the lock intervened and pressed the emergency stop to stop the locking. The boat then came to lie in a normal position.
