Blind man looks at child pornography

Shaw, from Thornton Cleveleys, is suspected of downloading 71 obscene images of minors. Twelve images would be very graphic.

His wife, who is also blind, sat with a white blind dog in the courtroom to assist her husband, reports The Telegraph.

According to Shaw's lawyer, this is an unusual thing. My client is registered as blind. With an eye he can not see anything, with the other eye but very little. Due to his poor vision, he can hardly estimate how old the women are in the pictures. He may think he looks at the 16 year olds. '

The judge ruled that Shaw could be released for bail on a provisional basis. Judgment in the lawsuit is expected later.
