Bizarre killings in sanctuary

islamabad - An administrator of a sanctuary of Sufism in Pakistan Sargodha district has Sunday tortured twenty people with few allies and then murdered. A police spokesman told the Pakistani newspaper The News that the administrator was insane. He would have thought that torture worked healing.

The man and his four supporters were arrested. Police said the five visitors to the shrine were first poisoned and then tortured and killed. Three people were injured. They were transferred to a hospital.

Sargodha is located in the state of Punjab. Sufism is a mystical movement that has its roots in Islam.
