singapore - The value of bitcoin has surpassed $100,000 for the first time overnight from Wednesday to Thursday, reaching new heights in the cryptocurrency market.

Since the election victory, the entire crypto market has increased by around $1 trillion. According to crypto platform CoinMarketCap, this market was worth over $3.3 trillion, with Bitcoin accounting for nearly $2 trillion of it.

During his election campaign, Trump promised to make the United States the global 'crypto capital' and expressed intentions to dismiss Gary Gensler, the head of the U.S. stock market regulator SEC, who was known for advocating stricter regulations for crypto markets. However, news emerged on Thursday evening that Gensler will resign from his position on January 20, the day of Trump's inauguration.
