Belgium's Separatist Leader Becomes Prime Minister

belgium - After 236 days of negotiations, Belgium reached an agreement to form a new government with Bart de Wever, known for advocating the country's division, as the new Prime Minister.

New Government Formation in Belgium

Belgium, unable to be governed through traditional methods due to its political system, finally reached a consensus after 236 days of negotiations. Bart de Wever, the leader of New Flemish Alliance (N-VA) who has dedicated his political career to the division of Belgium, will assume the role of Prime Minister. Known for his provocative statements and media attention, de Wever openly advocates for the division of the country, seeing Wallonia in the south as a burden for the Flemish Region in the north.

Marine Le Pen Strategy Successful

De Wever, who will now work to keep the country he wants to divide together, protect its interests internationally, and be the Prime Minister for all Belgians, has managed to move away from the profile of an excluded politician by following a strategy similar to the far-right Marine Le Pen in France. The five-party coalition government, uniting parties from the north and south, right, left, and center, is expected to be sworn in front of King Philippe of Belgium tomorrow.
