brussels - A Belgian woman has a place where she was allowed to drive 116, but had to pay a fine of 467 euros due to an odd amount of fate.

The judge found the violation of the 44-year-old woman from Braine-le-Comte 'serious' and 'proven', writes La Dernière Heure.

Since 2010, the speed, when you are flashed, from 100 km / h, with six percent adjusted in favor of the driver. Because the woman was flashed at 124 km / h her speed on paper was reduced to 116 km / h.

When she received a police report, she immediately threw it into the trash. After the correction of six percent, she had not committed a violation. At the beginning of December 2016 she received another letter with the announcement that she had to appear in court. She then decided not to go. Why waste half a day in court for a trial where she would be right?

The judge thought otherwise. 124 is 124 and so she was sentenced in absentia to a fine of 240 euros and fifteen days driving ban. On top of that she had to cough up the court costs: 227 euros.

Christophe Redko, the lawyer says that this 'has never been shown'. In appeals, the lawyer still attracted ana the longest end. The case was now barred and the woman is still free.
