Belgian prince scatters money

brussels - The Belgian King Philip did to 769 Belgians each one-off 200 euro gift in 2016. It reports the royal palace on Tuesday.

Each year Frost receives letters from citizens asking for a financial favor. Last year 50 000 people climbed into the pen, of whom 11 000 for a 'social question'. By far the majority of cases are referred to social services, only a small number will get royal support. In total in 2016 to 154 000.

In 2015 the king went in at nearly 520 'begging letters' for an amount of approximately 104 000. Even when he received about 50 000 letters written also according to the palace by people who just want an anniversary or report a lost story.
