egypt, cyprus, belgium - A Belgian couple, Lucianna G. (30) and Christophe L. (37), miraculously survived a shipwreck in Egypt after hours of uncertainty in the water.

Lucianna G. (30) and Christophe L. (37) miraculously escaped death after a day of uncertainty. Christophe, a diver and world traveler, was known for documenting underwater beauty with his GoPro camera. The couple, who had been stationed in Cyprus for seven months, were on vacation in Egypt when they boarded the Sea Story, a ship that tragically sank in the Red Sea.

The couple, along with 42 others, set sail from the Egyptian port city of Port Ghalib. The ship sank during a storm in the night, but the Belgian couple's experience at sea proved crucial in their survival. After hours of struggle, they were rescued, while unfortunately four others did not survive the ordeal.

The details of their rescue remain unclear, but it is confirmed that they were safely rescued after an adventure that lasted for hours. As information slowly emerged about the aftermath of the shipwreck, it was a relief to their families in Belgium that they had indeed survived.
