Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, also known as 'La Muneca' (The Doll), has been arrested by the police for her alleged involvement in carrying out various sensational murders in Barrancabermeja, reportedly on the orders of the gang Los de la M.

Rodriguez is believed to be the mastermind behind the murder of her ex-boyfriend, Deyvy Jesus, on July 23. According to sources, she lured him into agreeing to a meeting using her charms, under the pretext of resolving a financial dispute. However, Jesus was gunned down on the spot by two men on a motorcycle.

Rodriguez, who allegedly held the second position in the hierarchy of Los de la M, was responsible for coordinating murders deemed necessary by the gang in Santander. Her loose talk about the death of her ex-boyfriend is said to have sealed her fate.

This week, the police released videos showing Rodriguez in handcuffs, wearing a white top and shorts, with long dark hair and a busty figure. The internet went into a frenzy over her appearance, with suggestions of actress Aubrey Plaza possibly portraying Rodriguez in a movie adaptation due to their resemblance.

In one of the shots, Rodriguez is seen staring directly into the camera as the police present her and a suspected male accomplice to the press. The beautiful assassin became a sensation thereafter.

Rodriguez was arrested alongside two accomplices: 24-year-old Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, also known as 'Gorda Sicaria' (the Fat Hitwoman), and another accomplice referred to as Leopoldo. During the arrest, the police seized a revolver and a 9mm pistol believed to be related to the recent murders. The exact charges against Rodriguez and her alleged accomplices are yet to be clarified.

According to Colombian newspaper Diario del Norte, Rodriguez completed high school before getting involved in criminal activities at the age of 18. Operating in Colombian cities like Bucaramanga, Piedecuesta, and Barrancabermeja, she gained a fearsome reputation for her expertise with firearms and icy demeanor, instilling fear even in men. Known for her deadly precision, fearlessness, and steady hand, Karen is described as always charming and changing her hair color to avoid detection.

As the second-in-command of the gang Los de la M, which continued its operations from the Girón prison in Santander, her influence is far-reaching. With her arrest, a sense of calm has returned to the region, as stated by Lieutenant Colonel Mauricio Herrera, the Magdalena Medio police commander.
