Barra Xiaomi CEO leaves

beijing - Hugo Barra leaving the Chinese electronics maker Xiaomi. The Brazilian announced on Facebook. Barra was 3.5 years ago by Xiaomi detached being at Google to head international expansion. Previously, he was vice president of the Android division of Google.

Barra carries nostalgia as the main reason for his departure from Xiaomi. The Chinese company, he spent much time in China and India, while his family in Brazil and his friends were in Silicon Valley. He says in the latter area, to start a new challenge. What company is going to happen, is not yet clear.

Under Barra's leadership Xiaomi expanded from only China to much of Asia. The company got its own design style, while previously more especially as an Apple copycat was left.
