Babies cry differently in Cameroon and China

- Babies cry from Cameroon and China other than German sprouts. Their wailing was zangeriger, according to research from the University of Würzburg. The 42 babies cry's compared, half in Germany and half from northwestern Cameroon. The difference between the lowest and highest note was with the African children considerably larger, even when it came to short notes.

A study in which the sound of 55 babies in China was compared to that of infants from Germany, produced a similar result, though the difference was smaller here. The researchers conclude that infants already (sound) features taking on the mother immediately after birth.
