Authorities Raid Illegal Nightclubs
In response to a deadly fire in Kocani, North Macedonia, authorities have conducted raids on numerous unlicensed clubs and discotheques, ordering closure of those without proper permits.
Deadliest Incident Since 1993
59 people died and 200 were injured in the recent fire, suspected to have been triggered by fireworks during a performance. Lack of safety measures, including inadequate fire extinguishers and emergency exits, were identified.
