Pakistan Army Neutralizes Over 50 Militants Infiltrating from Afghanistan

The Pakistani military has reported the elimination of at least 54 militants attempting to cross into northwestern Pakistan from Afghanistan. The militants, suspected to be Islamists based in Afghanistan, were allegedly behind cross-border attacks.

Foreign Backing and Regional Tensions

Intelligence reports suggest that the group of terrorists infiltrated on orders from their 'foreign masters' to carry out significant terrorist activities in Pakistan, as stated by the military.

Pakistan accuses arch-rival India of supporting these militants. The operation resulted in the deaths of two Pakistani soldiers in the same region where Islamist groups linked to al-Qaeda and the Afghan Taliban have historically operated.

Following the Taliban's takeover of Kabul in 2021, Pakistan has experienced increased unrest. In recent months, the Pakistani Taliban (TTP) have escalated attacks on Pakistani security forces.
