whistler - The body of 25-year-old Australian woman Alison Raspa was found four months after her disappearance in a partly frozen lake in Canada.

The woman from Perth disappeared on 22 November after visiting a bar in the popular resort of Whistler. She lived and worked since the beginning of 2017 in the ski area.

Her body was noticed by passers-by at Alpha Lake on Friday. 'The cause of death has not yet been determined, although there appears to be no suspicion at present,' the police reported in a statement.

Raspa was last seen in a bar. She took a bus back home around one o'clock at night, about 5 kilometers away. She would have sent her friends messages that she was lost. The next day her purse, coat and backpack were found at the bus stop.

Her phone was found further down in Alpha Lake Park. Several diving teams were deployed here until the lake began to freeze and the search was stopped. Canadian media speculated at the time that the Australian was undercooled and confused and would have fallen into the water.
