Greece is set to protest Italy over the acquisition of Piaggio Aerospace by Turkish defense company Baykar. The move is seen as a breach of EU regulations.

Kathimerini, a Greek newspaper, reported that Athens is highly disturbed by the sale and accuses Italy of disregarding the EU regulation 2019/452, which requires informing all member states about sales of state-controlled companies to third-country investors. The 7th article of the regulation allows any EU member state or the Commission to request necessary information if there is a possibility that a foreign investment could harm security or public order.
