At least eleven deaths from car bombs in Benghazi

benghazi - By two bombings in the Libyan city of Benghazi at least eleven deaths occurred. Many others were injured. According to local authorities, among the victims were both soldiers and civilians.

The cars with explosives went into the air at a mosque in the Al-Salmani district, just when believers came out after the prayer. The responsibility for the terrorist act has not yet been claimed.

Benghazi has been the scene of violence for three years since 2014. Troops loyal to Khalifa Haftar, the commander of the National Army of Libya (LNA), largely restored the calm last year by displacing jihadists and other militants. Attacks are still taking place with mosques usually as targets.
