earth - Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams share insights on their extended space mission, addressing technical issues and personal responsibility.

Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams Reflect on 9-Month Space Journey

Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams recently returned to Earth and opened up about their originally planned eight-day trip to the ISS space station. However, due to technical issues with Boeing's Starliner, their journey extended to over nine months before being safely brought back by SpaceX's Dragon.

Wilmore emphasized that blame should not be solely placed on Boeing, NASA, or any specific party involved, admitting his own responsibility in not asking crucial questions as the mission commander. He stated, 'Everyone had a role to play, and I am guilty.'

While some criticized the U.S. government under President Joe Biden for allegedly abandoning the astronauts, Wilmore disagreed, expressing his confidence in national leaders. He commended their active involvement in NASA's space program, describing it as 'refreshing.'
