Assassin Escobar hit on YouTube

- John Jairo Velásquez (54), who for years was the main hit man for drug lord Pablo Escobar, is nowadays career vlogger on YouTube.

The Colombian was 22 years for plotting the assassination of former Colombian presidential candidate Luis Carlos Galán. He also definitely committed 250 murders- including his own girlfriend-, ordered to thousands of murders and had definitely rung 200 car bombs.

Velasques, nicknamed Popeye came in August 2014 free. He soon started a YouTube channel on which he regularly tells his story. 'Repentant Popeye 'insert videos with the intro a flying bullet, which he expresses regret for his actions. He talks about his reintegration into society and provides information about the Medellín Cartel, a drug cartel founded by Escobar.

He hopes that people will forgive him, though he fears that he will still be killed. Popeye earned much money as hit man, but claims to have the largest part spent on 'security' in the cell. He hopes that he can earn his channel. 'Clean money from honest work,' said the vlogger which more than 117 000 subscribers on YouTube; his videos Views millions.

Velasques began working at the age of 18 for Escobar. He calls the still 'boss', but says in a video that it is important that new generations do not see as an example the two drugs baron died in 1993. 'Everything went Escobar was bad. We have no example. We are bandits. '
