london - The ashes of the world-famous British scientist Stephen Hawking is buried at Westminster Abbey in the center of London. His remains are so close to those of Issac Newton (1643-1727) and Charles Darwin (1809-1882), reported the BBC.

Professor Hawking died on March 14 at the age of 76. The funeral ceremony is Saturday in private in a church of the University of Cambridge. The physicist Hawking lived and worked in the English city for over fifty years.

Westminister Abbey is royal because since 1066 the English kings are crowned there and usually also marry. The church administration falls directly under the frost. The former monastery complex was one of the most important science centers in the country from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century.
