'Army top North Korea replace US relationship'

washington - The regime in Pyongyang has replaced three people in the top of the North Korean army, including the Minister of Defense. They have probably been pushed aside because of the changing relationship between North Korea and neighboring South Korea and the United States.

An anonymous US official confirms the coverage of South Korean and Japanese media about the replacement of the army top. According to him, there was disagreement within the army about the way in which the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is approaching the US and South Korea.

In particular, the United States' demand that North Korea should work towards denuclearization of the Korean peninsula would cause friction within the army.
