Argentineans elect representatives

buenos aires - The Argentineans elect new representatives for the chamber of delegates and the senate on Sunday. The Argentine Parliament occupies 257 seats, in the senate there are 72 people.

The largest party in the Chamber of Representatives is now the center-right Cambiemos, from President Mauricio Macri. The party currently occupies 86 seats. Opposition party FPV-PJ, Peronists of former President Cristina de Kirchner, is the second party in parliament with 72 deputies.

In the Argentine senate, the FPV-PJ occupies half of the places: 36 seats. Cambiemos is here with seventeen seats the second in size.

Argentina has 44 million inhabitants and is the eighth country in the world. At the end of the last and beginning of this century, the country was deeply buried under a huge economic crisis. Inflation, tax increases, unemployment and cuts were the mainstay. In 2003, the economy finally stabilized. Under President Nestor Kirchner (2003-2007) climbed the country from the valley.
