Ankara threatens to end refugee agreement

World July 31, 2016 17:33

ankara - The EU visa requirements for Turks should raise by October, otherwise gave Turkey the refugees chord. That threat has expressed the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Cavusoglu in an interview with the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine.

The EU asked Turkey visa waiver in prospect in exchange for restricting the flow of refugees to Europe. Since refugee deal was closed, many Member States have become increasingly more wary to actually lift the visa requirement, partly due to a series of attacks in Europe. Moreover, the Turkish government since the failed coup of July 15 behaves autocratic. It is in Turkey even talk of reinstating the death penalty, something definitive pursuant to Brussels would mean the end of the accession talks.

The Turkish government,, expecting a concrete deadline '' for the abolition of the visa requirement, the minister said.,, It may be early or mid-October, but we want a fixed date. ''
