vancouver, washington - American animal rights organization offers $5,000 reward for apprehending culprit behind rabbit shootings.

American Animal Rights Organization Takes Action

The Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) in the US has announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a shooter targeting unsuspecting rabbits with a blowgun. The incidents have occurred near a residential area in Vancouver, Washington.

Over the past few months, at least ten injured rabbits have been found, some still with darts embedded in their skin. A woodpecker was also discovered with a dart in its abdomen. Several rabbits had to be euthanized due to the severity of their injuries, according to a spokesperson from Clark County Animal Protection and Control.

William Oglesby from Clark County Animal Protection and Control expressed concern not only for the suffering of the animals but also for the safety of residents and children in the area. Oglesby stated, 'These incidents occurred in densely populated areas and near schools. We aim to identify the responsible individual(s) before more victims are harmed.'

Linda Fielder from the Animal Legal Defense Fund emphasized that Washington state laws on animal abuse prohibit causing harm or death to animals. Fielder urged witnesses to come forward to ensure justice is served.
