- Goalkeeper André Onana is on the verge of joining Trabzonspor on loan, choosing to leave Manchester United due to limited playing opportunities and the arrival of Senne Lammens.

André Onana to Join Trabzonspor on Loan

André Onana is set to depart Manchester United for Trabzonspor on a season-long loan, with no option for a permanent move. The 29-year-old goalkeeper's decision to leave follows the arrival of Senne Lammens and concerns over playing time.

Loan Move to Trabzonspor

Onana, who has a contract until 2028, is expected to finalize the loan move to Trabzonspor after participating in Cameroon's World Cup qualifier. Despite his initial intention to compete for a spot at United, the goalkeeper has opted to seek playing time elsewhere.

Challenges at Manchester United

Onana faced setbacks at United as he fell behind Altay Bayindir in the pecking order, leading to his decision to pursue opportunities at Trabzonspor. His departure marks the end of a two-year stint at Old Trafford, following his arrival from Inter Milan in 2023.

The goalkeeper's absence from United's recent games and the addition of Lammens have reinforced his choice to explore a loan move for regular first-team action.
