Amazon Launches Skype competitor Chime

seattle - Amazon has taken up the challenge in the battle with Skype. The online retailer and service provider has launched its own application that enables video calling business users, Chime.

Amazon Chime not only praises as a safer alternative to Microsoft's Skype for Business, GoToMeeting from Citrix and Cisco WebEx, according to the company's CEO Jeff Bezos is also cheaper. Companies can already Chime to work for $ 2.50 (about 2.35 euros) per user while for example a corporate Skype account quickly double the cost.

In total, sixteen people can participate in a Chime call. For this they have to use the desktop application, because the mobile app still only supports eight users per session.
