- AC Milan striker Alvaro Morata joins Galatasaray on loan for 6 million euros with a permanent deal option.

Alvaro Morata Moves to Galatasaray

Galatasaray have signed Alvaro Morata on loan from AC Milan for 6 million euros with a potential permanent deal. The 32-year-old Spanish striker will receive a guaranteed salary of 3 million euros for the second half of the 2024-25 season and an additional 3 million euros for the first half of the 2025-26 campaign.

Morata, the captain of Spain's national team, joined AC Milan from Atlético Madrid last summer for 13 million euros. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, AC Milan advisor, commented on Morata's departure, wishing him the best for the future.

Galatasaray holds an option to make Morata's deal permanent for 8 million euros by January 15, 2026. If not exercised, the loan can be extended until June 30, 2026. Another option allows Galatasaray to sign Morata permanently for 9 million euros by June 10, 2026.

If the permanent deal is activated, Morata will receive guaranteed salaries of 6 million euros for the 2026-27 season and 6 million euros for the 2027-28 season. Morata, who started his career at Real Madrid and also played for Juventus and Chelsea, comes with a strong track record of achievements in top European leagues.
