islamabad - Rescue workers have managed to save a French alpinist in the Pakistani Himalayas from an altitude of 7400 meters. She and her Polish partner had entered the mountain Nanga Parbat, which is known to be very dangerous.

It is feared that the still unknown pool on the more than 8100 meters high mountain has left, according to Karrar Haidri of the Pakistani association of mountaineers.

The Nanga Parbat is the eighth highest mountain in the world and is located in the Pakistani part of Kashmir, about 200 kilometers northeast of the capital Islamabad.
