Alberto takes off in strength towards Florida

miami - The tropical storm Alberto, with which the Atlantic hurricane season has been opened prematurely, has declined slightly on its way to the Florida Panhandle strip in the northwest of the American state. According to the meteorological service, the center of the depression is now 80 kilometers south of Panama City in Florida and wind speeds of 96 kilometers per hour have been measured.

It is expected that Alberto will come ashore Monday afternoon or evening (local time). The coastal area from Florida to Mississippi and western Georgia must take into account heavy rainfall, up to 30 cm, and the possibility of tornadoes.

Alberto was there early this year. Officially, on June 1, the period that the inhabitants of the islands in the Caribbean, the southern and eastern states of the US and the Central American countries can expect heavy weather. Last year a series of hurricanes took a trail of destruction through the area with numerous deaths.
