Agent who sacrificed himself in hostage death

The man who held the attendees in a supermarket on Friday is the 26-year-old Moroccan Redouane Lakdim. He shot three people and wounded sixteen before he was shot by French security forces himself.

He was known to the police for minor crimes. He was not seen as an Islamic threat.
