Afghans make 1.2 million reports to ICC

the hague - Afghans have reported 1.17 million in three months to the International Criminal Court (ICC), which is investigating whether it can open a case for possible war crimes in the country.

The reports include alleged crimes, not only by the Taliban and Islamic State, but also by the Afghan security forces, warlords with ties to the Afghan government, the US-led coalition and espionage services.

Many of the reports deal with incidents involving multiple casualties, suicide bombings, assassinations or air strikes, a spokesman for human rights organization HREVO told The Independent newspaper.
